THE BIG THREEFor immediate snake removal, please call (520) 449-4200 or (520) 743-1411.
Yes! We remove rattlesnakes from your home and yard.
Rattlesnake on the porch? Call us night or day.
After many years of fielding snake calls and removing snakes in the Tucson and Pima County area, we have created our BIG THREE
list of the most commonly encountered snakes in the above mentioned
area. Click the species name to become more acquainted with it.
Of
course, many other snake species occur in Pima County and Tucson. If
you are in doubt of what snake species you are confronted with, do not
not take any chances! A good rule of thumb is to assume a snake is of
the venomous variety, until proven otherwise.
Speaking of snakes, thumbs and fingers....
Statistics show that the majority of venomous snake bites occur on the
hand. As ABC radio network's Paul Harvey would say, here's the rest of
the story:
- The majority of those bitten are male.
- The majority of those bitten had been drinking.
- Those bitten were trying to kill, capture or harass the reptile.
Is this surprising? Be careful out there. Never hesitate to call a professional for assistance or advice.
If bitten, or even if you remotely suspect that you have been bitten by a snake, other animal or invertebrate, contact the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center immediatly. Their phone number is 1-800-222-1222.
